Free The Children is proud of its large and diverse staff of dedicated, driven team members. While we have staff all around the world, our main headquarters is located in a small, tightly knit community in downtown Toronto. Made up of passionate young people, our staff is comprised of talented professionals who are experts in their fields, including teachers, former investment bankers, journalists and more. They are passionate leaders whose dedication and commitment lies in providing equal opportunity and education to young people, both at home and abroad.
Featured below are members of our senior leadership team. Representing their individual program areas, each amazing team member is pleased to answer any and all questions. And, our regional and country directors are always happy to hear from a new friend.
Give us a call or send us an e-mail. We look forward to hearing from you!
To help us along in our mission of helping to free children from poverty and exploitation we have a dynamic, dedicated and experienced board of directors. Through their expertise they provide legal and financial oversight to all of Free The Children's projects and activities.
A MILESTONE YEAR
Letter from Eva and Michelle
Dear Supporters,
Through our work on the Board of Directors for Free The Children, we have witnessed a small group of young people grow into the world's largest network of children helping children; we have witnessed one dream grow into a collection of achieved dreams, hopes and aspirations; we have witnessed tens of thousands of children gain access to education and create a better life for themselves and their families.
And today, as the organization celebrated its 15th anniversary, we continue to witness the true power of the passion and willpower of our younger generation to create lasting change.
We are pleased to share with you our annual report, one that reflects on the accomplishments of 2009 and celebrates a wonderful milestone for Free The Children. We urge you to join us in celebrating the last 15 years in which the organization's dedicated team together with more than one million youth across North America have successfully built more than 650 schools and school rooms across the developing workd and have zealously worked to give hope to the children there.
On behalf of the entire Board of Directors, we wish to thank this growing network of youth for their unwavering support, enthusiasm and commitment. We always knew that youth had the power to foster change ideological and societal but we could never have guessed that their impact would be this moving and influential.
As we look ahead, we envision the next 15 years creating a greater impact, with ripples of change felt throughout our global community. We envision many more schools, Adopt a Village programs and entire generations of youth who care deeply for their world, resulting in a dramatic decline in poverty and education related issues. We envision all this because we believe that nothing is impossible.
Working with Free The Children has proven to us that possibilities are truly endless. Thank you to our friends, supporters and donors for your support and encouragement, and for celebrating 15 years of changing the world together.
