Interesting fact: For more than 10 years, Beth sang in a youth choir that participated in festivals overseas and was awarded first place in a national choral competition.

Beth Campbell joined the Free The Children team in 2007 as communications coordinator. A long time advocate of education, social issues and youth leadership, she is excited to incorporate her passion for these issues into her daily work.

While studying business and English at Wilfrid Laurier University, Beth participated in many initiatives that led to her involvement with Free The Children. Through her work with a local literacy organization, she organized a free weekly literacy program for children, designed to provide one-on-one educational opportunities and promote a love of learning throughout the community. Her commitment to education and social development also led her to travel to Costa Rica in the summer of 2006, where she lived with a local family and taught in the rural high school. Working to provide educational opportunities to individuals in her local community and abroad gave Beth a greater understanding of the importance of education and sparked her commitment to provide this right to all children.

A strong believer in the ability of youth to make a difference in the world, Beth finds inspiration from seeing young people spark change in their communities. A summer girl at heart, Beth waits all year for the day when she can put on her sandals and head to the beach. When she’s not outside enjoying the sunshine, Beth can be found spending time with her friends and family, reading a good book, enjoying an afternoon coffee or getting hands-on with arts and crafts projects.
