Interesting fact:
Though she couldn’t keep a tune if her life depended on it, Faith grew up to be an avid musician—by age 13, she could play ten instruments in the orchestra.
Faith Bachlow joined Free The Children as a donor relations coordinator in 2010. She first volunteered during We Day 2009 and has been in love with and inspired by the organization ever since. With a passion for human rights, Faith brings experience ranging from strategy and development to event planning and fundraising. She is also trained as a Level 2 disaster relief worker and has been deployed to various disaster sites across Canada.
Before helping in the development of the Fund Development Advisory Committee at the Canadian Red Cross, Faith independently organized over 20 fundraising events for a variety of charities. Currently Faith organizes a cultural lecture series called Salon Camden, an event that brings together people from all walks of life to speak openly and share ideas. In 2004, Faith became part of the Disaster Management Program at the Red Cross to help people affected by the 2004 Asian tsunami.
Faith believes that the key to success in life lies in helping others, that no act of kindness is too small, and that to be honest with yourself, you must stay true to your convictions. Her favourite quotation is from Allan K. Chalmers: “The grand essentials of happiness are something to do, something to love, and something to hope for.”
