Interesting fact: After studying yoga for three years, Nadine can stand on her head and recite a mantra in Sanskrit.

Nadine James joined the Free The Children team in 2009 as program manager in the international projects department. This role combines her love for the written word with raising awareness about global issues and facilitating youth empowerment.

After graduating from the University of Toronto, Nadine spent several years working for a small publishing company in Toronto. Her longstanding desire to work with youth led her to complete her teaching degree at Nipissing University. It was here that she discovered Free The Children and made it a personal goal to one day contribute to the organization. Little did she know that a few years later she would be part of the team.

Nadine enjoys reading in local coffee shops and visiting with loved ones over a game of cards. She adores Toronto, but hopes to add to her list of international destinations. (So far she has visited Japan, Mexico, the Caribbean and Australia.) Nadine is excited to work alongside those who are committed to making a positive change in the world, both locally and globally, each and every day.
