Victor Li is the chief financial director at Free The Children. In the year 2000, he recognized our organization’s need for financial savvy and we recognized his talent for keeping the books. He originally joined us as a volunteer and we haven’t parted company since. Keeping a tight watch on the books is crucial to our organization’s effectiveness in investing your money where it’s needed: in today’s youth. No one understands this better than Victor.
Having grown up in the industrial city of Anshan in China, Victor’s mind has always been focussed on numbers and business. Victor is a graduate of Beijing’s University of Finance and Economics, where he earned a bachelor of finance degree on the road to a master of business administration degree. After leaving Beijing and the China Social Society Institute, Victor found he wanted to try out another environment—a new country perhaps—and so he came to Canada and joined our small but growing family. He is happy in the knowledge that his work is helping children in his home country of China.
