What is We Act?
We Act is a year-long engagement program for youth, schools, individuals, families and companies to participate in service learning and local and global change. We Act goes hand-in-hand with We Day, and provides free educational resources and support staff to turn inspiration into action. It’s a highly measurable, highly impactful service learning program!

We Act Benefits:

WeDay.com is a one-stop shop for discovering one’s passion, learning about issues and taking action on ANY cause.
Youth connect online via Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Pinterest, sharing actions they have taken around the issues they care about.

Receive Free The Children’s free curricular resources, action guides and campaign kits to use in your classroom and take advantage of our free professional development sessions for our We Act educators.
For the duration of the school year, take action and create positive change around local and global issues.
Share Your Success:
Share your We Act group’s plans and accomplishments by reporting to Free The Children in both fall 2013 and spring 2014.
Through We Act and We Day:
- $37 million has been fundraised for 1,000 causes.
- 9.6 million hours have been volunteered for local and global causes.

Mission Measurement conducted a study in 2012 to assess the impact of We Day and the We Act program. Overall, the program creates a holistic impact on students, educators as well as school atmosphere and culture. When asked about the impact of We Day and We Act, educators agreed that Free The Children’s programming transforms student behaviour and increases engagement.
