Involve Your School

Excited youth holding a sign that says Be The ChangeWelcome Change-Makers!

At Free The Children, we believe that young people like you are the greatest problem-solvers. And we’re here to make it easy for you.

For any great movement to be successful it’s important to have a strong network of committed and passionate individuals. Reach out to your friends at school and ask them to join you. Here are some steps that will help you start a Free The Children group in your school.

STEP 1: Gather your friends to form your group and ask a teacher to supervise.

STEP 2: Email youth@freethechildren.com to get assigned a Youth Programming Coordinator (YPC) who will help you every step of the way!

STEP 3: Plan your first meeting and assign roles! Have fun with it! Then, as a group, decide which pillar of Adopt a Village you want to fundraise for. Contact your YPC to get some fundraising tips.

STEP 4: Begin fundraising… and don’t forget to let your YPC know about your goals for the year!

STEP 5: Report back! Your YPC loves hearing from you. Send in your stories, pictures and highlights!
