Without engaged educators like you, none of our programs would be possible. Stand with your students, stand for positive change that begins in the classroom.

directors of change.

Each year, a dedicated team of high school students travels to Kenya, India, or Mexico to explore critical global issues. Guided by an experienced filmmaker, the students shot a documentary film about their journey. The footage they bring back to North America becomes a powerful teaching tool for their peers across the continent.

For each film produced, we provide a corresponding country-specific resource guide to flush out the educational wealth in these documentaries. The Directors of Change curriculum takes a human rights approach to citizenship education. The resource guide includes connections to provincial high school curriculums, lesson plans for teaching social justice issues, Blackline Masters, information sheets, guides for putting together a film documentary, newspaper article, editorial cartoon, and more.

Be sure to look at the program website, www.directorsofchange.com, for a sign up form, more educators' resources and a collection of student films, shorts and essays to get started.
