Green means GO!
Welcome earthlings to another edition of your Voices International Newsletter,
Last Saturday you may have noticed that the world was a little darker than usual and the stars in the sky were brighter than ever. No, there wasn’t a global power outage or a major cosmic event. People across the globe were taking part in Earth Hour.
Creating a powerful message that it is possible to take action on climate change and protect our environment, people everywhere shut off their lights for an hour—demonstrating that small actions by many can make a positive global impact.
In recognition of Earth Hour and of Earth Day on April 22, this month’s newsletter is dedicated to the environment. Check out the links for more information on how you can make a positive impact on the globe; for stories from Ecuador and Kenya on how the communities there live in harmony with the environment; and to learn more about the cost of taking our Earth for granted.
This Earth Day, let your passions grow as you take action to protect our environment.
In peace, The Youth Team
