A special message from Craig Kielburger

Attitude of gratitude

I’ll bet you didn’t know that January 11 was International Thank You Day! What a great time for all of us here at Free The Children to show all of you how much we appreciate everything you’re doing to create positive change in the world.

It’s absolutely amazing how much social change has been created even since the beginning of this school year. Since the launch of the 100-School Challenge, schools across North America have worked hard to make sure that this goal will be achieved—schools like St. Anne’s in Clinton, Ontario. Schools, clean water systems and alternative income projects continue to pop up all over rural communities in Ecuador, China, Kenya, Sierra Leone, Sri Lanka and India, all thanks to you!

This time of the year, it can be difficult to get going again after a relaxing holiday season. But instead of groaning about having to head back to school, let’s think about how lucky we are to have that opportunity. International Thank You Day means giving thanks not only to the people who have made a difference in our lives, but also for the opportunities we’ve been given.

Thanks for everything!
