The power of silence spread through schools around the world on March 1st, as thousands of youth were silent for 24 hours as part of the Vow of Silence campaign. Inspiring stories from Youth in Action groups continue to stream in from all over. Congratulations to all those who took part in the day of silence!
It looks like spring is going to be incredibly exciting; here is a brief look at some of the highlights of the month:
- Craig Kielburger has been nominated this year for the World Children’s Prize! Register to vote for the winner and have your voice heard at www.childrensworld.org/page.
- Nominations for the 2006 Me to We Awards are open. If you know someone who has made a difference in the lives of others and their community, nominate them to be recognized for their incredible actions at www.metoweawards.com.
- Free The Children and The Toronto Star newspaper are launching an exciting partnership this March, featuring a biweekly column by Craig and Marc Kielburger. Check out this month’s “Just In” section for more information!
