Searching for Technology Equality

Hi Friends,

May is a month of new growth, with trees budding and flowers popping up everywhere. Technology is a part of our society growing quickly this spring. Whether we’re using the newest online search feature, surfing the web on a cell phone or doing rapid online research, new technologies to use are popping up so quickly it’s easy to take them for granted.

On May 17, World Telecommunications Day reminds us of how much technology helps us learn about the world, be more productive at work and communicate with each other. At the same time, we must remember the millions of people worldwide who don’t have access to technology and its benefits. In this issue of Voices International, we’ll explore technology around the world, how to make it accessible to everyone and how it can help us connect to make a difference.

On May 28, the first-ever Free The Children online discussion will connect young people everywhere, enabling us to share ideas and align our actions to change the world.

As the school year draws to a close, remember to plan your Youth in Action Group actions for next fall. Join us online on May 28 to start!

For a better world,
