Think Globally, Act Locally
Hey local leaders,
As we move deeper into fall and the leaves begin to change, thoughts turn toward family gatherings, friendly feasts and warm drinks. Fall is a time for us to focus on things that are close to us, and to look at the world right around us.
In this issue of Voices International you will find stories of people taking action locally, such as through Halloween for Hunger and through educating young people to change the world.
As essential as it is to focus on our immediate surroundings, it is also vitally important to keep in mind the global impact of our actions, whether we’re buying organic produce to protect the environment or tackling hunger one can at a time. While we must act locally to take effective action on world issues, only by thinking globally can we truly grasp the challenges we face and work together to overcome them.
May your fall actions be locally focused and globally effective!
Passionately,
The Youth Programming Team
