If we’re going to change the world, we’ve got to start in our own communities. Changing attitudes. Changing priorities. Changing the way we think about our world.
Where would you like to go?

Youth in Action Summit.

The 2010 Youth In Action Summit in Toronto:

At the Youth In Action Summit in Toronto on February 20th, we had young leaders from across the province connect with their peers and Free The Children facilitators. From the chance to see five amazing speakers, like Louise Kent and Michel Chikwanine, Scott Hammell, several members of the cast from Degrassi, and Craig Kielburger (our surprise guest), to amazing, interactive workshops, participants walked away from the day with new skills to create social change in their communities, and new friends to work with.

Youth who participated in this year’s Youth In Action Summit shared these highlights:

"I would just like to extend my gratitude for all of the efforts that were put into Saturday's Youth in Action Summit. It was absolutely amazing and I would just like to say a big thanks to everyone at Free the Children. I learned a ton of things and returning to school this week, I felt inspired and couldn't help but share my experience with many other students at my school." – Jennie

"I wanted to thank you SO much for having me as a Summit participate last Saturday. I learned so many new things and I met some incredible people that I am staying in close contact with—and the surprise guest was INCREDIBLE! I had a wonderful day and I will continue to apply everything that I learned everyday!" – Kristina

"The Youth In Action Summit would have to be one of the most AMAZING days of my life. It was not only fun and I learned SO many important and interesting facts and tools, but I got to meet the most amazing… It was a day full of inspiration, fun and such a feeling of unity - I had to keep reminding myself that every person there, we all cared about the same thing and we were working toward ultimately the same goal… I have two words to say to everyone that made the Summit what it was: THANK YOU!!" – Meghan

“The conference was amazing. You guys at Free The Children did a really good job! I’m so glad I got to be a part of this event. I got to meet all these people who had the same interests as me and I got tone of really good fundraising ideas! I can’t wait to get back to school tomorrow and tell everyone about Saturday!”
